2.5 Qt. Silver Streak Dianella (Flax Lily)

Silver Streak Dianella, also known as Flax Lily, is a broad-leafed, variegated grass-like herbaceous plant in the lily family. Its variegated foliage is green with cream white fringes. Silver Streak Dianella plant grows in a clumping habit that can add a tropical feel to your landscape. In the spring the flax lily produces spikes of pale violet-blue blooms that are followed by bright blue berries in summer. This plant is often used in mass plantings, ground covers, borders, woodland gardens, mixed container gardens, and in coastal landscapes. In warmer climates the Silver Streak will be evergreen, and in cooler climates it will act like a perennial and die back in fall to re-emerge in spring. This plant reaches 2' tall by 2 ft. W. Space Your Dianella Silver Streak 8 in.-12 in. apart for a seamless planting. Otherwise, plant them 1+ feet apart to leave space between shrubs. It does best in light shade although it will take full sun in coastal areas. It's hardy in USDA Zones 7-11.
